This one marks a highlight of the past week’s mission.

For over 40 years, Philippe Bouchet has been taking his good humor to all the world’s seas.
Philippe is a zoologist specializing in the study of molluscs.
In the jargon, he’s a malacologist.

This evening, in the on-board laboratory of the S.A. Agulhas II, support vessel for the Monaco Explorations 2022 Indian Ocean expedition, the soon-to-be emeritus professor from the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris is ecstatic.
