A recent scientific publication, published in November 2020 in the international journal Environmental DNA, compares two techniques used to assess marine biodiversity: the classic underwater visual census and the study of environmental DNA, an emerging technique in this field.

From 7 October to 31 December 2020, the photographic exhibition “Protecting UNESCO’s World Marine Heritage through Scientific Research”, consisting of 21 photographs from the Explorations of Monaco missions, is on display at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, as well as in digital version.
Organized each year by the Museum’s Events Department, with the participation of the Délégation Académique à l’éducation Artistique et Culturelle (DAAC), this event enables teachers to find out about the resources and educational tools made available to them by the Institut Océanographique – Fondation Albert 1er, Prince de Monaco.
